Andrew Anderson & Sons will be carrying this on by offering a service which upholds the same core principles and values, while incorporating our own family business.

All of these funeral homes  have a modern arrangement room and a chapel of rest where you can spend as much time as you need with your loved one leading up to the day of the funeral.

1969 - retired 2014

I started my career as a joiner in Fife then moved to Callander in 1957 where I continued working as a joiner. In 1969, after my wife and I had our fourth child, I decided to start my own joinery business and Andrew Anderson & Sons was formed. The opportunity then arose for me to become involved in funerals and in 1970 Andrew Anderson & Sons became funeral directors and joiners.

I enjoyed being a source of support for people in their time of need and there is no greater honour than being asked to carry out a loved one’s funeral.

In 2014 I retired and my grandson, Ross, took over the business. I know that he will continue to work hard to provide a good service to the local community and I feel a great sense of pride watching him succeed.

Andrew Anderson and Sons Funeral Directors 2008 - Present

I started working for Andrew Anderson & Sons Funeral Directors, which was my grandfathers business, in 2008. In December 2008, I decided to take the exciting opportunity to travel the world with my wife, Laura, and when we came back I was keen to learn as much as possible about funeral directing. I enrolled in The National Association of Funeral Directing (NAFD) to study a Diploma in Funeral Directing and following my success I decided to complete an embalming course. Throughout studying I continued to work for Andrew Anderson & Sons to gain as much experience as I could.

In 2014 my grandfather decided that, after 45 years in business, it was the right time for him to slow down and the opportunity became available to purchase his business. It is a honour. I promise to keep to the traditions that my grandfather has taught me and use my training to continue to help people in their time of need.
